DVD menu support when opening dvd.img files

ok when opening dvd images there is no dvd menu navigation
Ok i really like that it can play images! thats so good! but it would be even better if the dvd menues worked when opening files that way too.
Possible to do? or is it allready in there in some config?

good question. but it is .img files.. could be winimage

If i mount the image with deamontools and open it as a dvd in vlc then the menues work.

but if i open the image directly in vlc it starts playing the menu video-sequences but it ain't interactable. if i leve it it will play all possible trasitions between menues and after about 10 minutes the movie begin.
i can drag the slider to where the movie begins and watch from there.

I have the same Problem / I miss the same feature!

When I open the files DVD Shrink leaves on my harddisc after it has copied a DVD (I enter "dvd://" and then the folder where the files are saved in the "open menu") VLC plays the files. But there is no navigation aviable. When I play the DVD there is a navigation... When I open the files with Power DVD it shows a navigation.

I noticed that this thread is very old. So did anyone find a solution??
