URL return query resolver

Hi there this is a feature request which I can't imagine would be too hard to implement and would be mega usefull.

You know when you have a URL which has a query in it, which in return spits back an actuall location...

Well rather than have to look at the http header information it would be real usefull if you could paste querys as the MRI and VLC would know to resolve them through a browser first (Mozilla) before getting the stream.

Would make life alot easier.

And how would we know what browser a user has?

No the problem needs to be tackled at a different level. VLC would need some sort of HTML input engine, which would catch any return output the url sends and filter out most of the common redirects.

An interesting problem with many benefits to its solving. This might happen some day......

(oh man, and the OSX vlc is already 30MB's wait till we add mozilla to it )

There are ways, but not platform independant ways. it would be a pain to implement.
