Is it possible to capture audio?

Is it possible to capture audio from Myspace? Honestly, I don't think I know 1/8th of what VLC is capable of. I was searching for something else and read something about transcoding which got me thinking about capturing audio. My search on the subject didn't reveal much.

Also, is FLV playback forwarding and rewinding something that's being worked on or has it been taken care of?

Can VLC read the myspace media url? (If not, could you provide an example URL so I can have a look?)
