VLC error when playing files

Hi,
Not long ago I started getting some error messages upon opening different movie files in vlc, the fileformat doesnt matter, I get error message with all kinds

Its not the files that are corrupt, cause I get it with different files and fileformats. I dont get the error message all the time though, just sometimes :S
Therefore I tried to test it out a bit, by making a playlist with different movie files. Turned out sometimes I got the error message within the first five files I opened. Other times I didnt get the error message until I had opened about 15-20 files. Strange :\

The text in the first picture is in norwegian, what it basicly says is:
The instruction "0x00c19b52" refferead to adress "0x00000067". Memory couldnt be "read".
Press "Ok" to exit the program.
Press "Avbryt" to troubleshoot.



When I press "Avbryt" it opens C++, as you can see below. I have no idea what it means.




I really hope someone can help me with this, its pretty annoying

I think if I were seeing this happen on my machine I would search the web for a memory testing program and let it run overnight.

Hmm, I tried changing the skin in VLC and then the error message dissaperead. However when I change back to default skin the error message appears again :\

Have you found out more about this? I have the same phenomena using 86b.

Not really, I ended up using a different skin for vlc, since that solved my problem.

ipkiss will probably hate me for this, but if you look at messages just after opening the player you will see some errors when you use the skins2 module. If you create the missing folders and move the skins into the proper folders and copy the fonts files to their proper folders, all of the errors and oddities go away. It seems to be related to where VLC looks first for the stuff it needs.

BTW as near as I can tell, this is the setup for developing skins. So it's no surprise to me that it works real well.
