Tivo modules on VLC?

I've successfully compiled in the Tivo-VLC modules on Ubuntu Edgy, and they work for the most part except the playlist functionality is toast. I think I've pinned this down to the source code for the vstream module, which dates from April of 2005 and looks like it's written to interface with an older version of the VLC playlist code.

Can anyone help me to update the vstream source to the new playlist style? I'm an okay technician when it comes to this stuff, but after several hours I realized that this was way beyond my capabilities working alone.
