DTS playback problem

Hi,

I downloaded a video which is a H264 .mkv with DTS sound. Using my Macbook Core Duo 2GHz and 512MB RAM the video plays back really well using the latest intel nightly build of VLC, however, when I go to watch the video on my Macbook, I get only video and no sound. Can VLC play back the DTS audio through the Macbook speakers, or is there a proble with decoding DTS?
