Making strong coffee even stronger, a simple guide to

Postby zloki » 27 Jul 2004 23:51

I don't know about you, but when I wake up it is absolutely essential that I gots a cup of coffee that will put me through the rings. Here's something I figured out one day that can make a normal cup of coffee even stronger (caution not for the weak stomached).

Step 1: Make a pot of coffee
Step 2: Pull out the grinds holder thingy and pour your coffee back into it (it's gotta be hot coffee, and I prefer the gold filters but you could probably do it with those paper ones too, in addition leave the pot inself on the counter and make sure you don't have one of those grinds things that doesn't stop when you have the pot out.)
Step 3: Leave the pot out until you feel it would be insane not to put the thing back in, then and only then put it back in and wait for the coffee pot to fill up again.
Step 4: If you choose to, repeat steps 1-3 (4) until you have the blackest looking coffee you have ever seen.

Sounds like Turkish coffee for those of us not in Istanbul :)
