some question about vlc

1. does vlc accept frameserve from other apps like virtualdub?
2. can vlc open subtitles in vob file (i.e subtitles tracks within vob file)
3. is vlc better than media player classic?
4. can vlc play real media and quicktime file, and its streaming content on website?

4. Quicktime, yes. Real, no.

oh thx for the reply. i really appreciate it. please help me with some more:
1. can i install real alternative and make it works with vlc?
2. can vlc capture video from firewire port? Do i have to install driver for my capture device first ( i have a video camera use firewire port) before capture it with vlc?
