Implement a new method in VLC

Postby tarikbenn » 21 May 2007 17:34

I would like to know the logical approach to implement an option in the VLC Player. I'm a newbie in the world of server and player coding. But when I use a Unicast session, the pause button of VLC doesn't work, I would like to implement it but I don't know how to proceed: in which file shall I add this option, with what other functions would it interacts, how to deal with the 'pause' event when it happens...could you please show me the steps to follow and the files that are concerned to be able to implement this option ( this option is obviously being implemented for the next VLC , so some people are working on it and could help me). And how, in a more general way , implement a method ( RTSP ) in a client or a server.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
