Deinterlacing option appears twice

Postby prologic » 07 May 2007 20:20

I just noticed the de-interlacing option appears twice in the Preferences, and only one of them works...

Do you plan to fix this in future versions?

Operating System: It's...blue screen
Location: Heaven? No no. What's that other place that starts with an "H"? Oh yes: Home. ^_^

Already fixed in latest nightly builds; this shouldn't be a problem in VLC v0.9.0.

Well, no. Branch has deviated too much from trunk to be able to work correctly on it, backporting fixes is now really difficult. Moreover, the building of VLC branch for windows is difficult as hell because of ffmpeg changes.
Finally, we are very short-staffed now. So we focus on 0.9.0.

Well, not really, but as all the libraries evolve, the trunk of VLC evolves too, and then managing a branch with old libraries and bug is kind of difficult and boring, but not undoable. Moreover 0.8.6b is quite stable.
