Is my VLC working?

For questions and discussion that is NOT (I repeat NOT) specific to a certain Operating System.

Is my VLC working?

Postby Merlinsky » 05 May 2007 18:33

I have a very simple question, how do I know if my VLC is working? I just installed it--I think. Your little wizzard's hat/traffic cone icon is displayed in my dock. Everything looks okay, but when I click on the hat/cone, nothing happens. Maybe that's normal; I don't know. I was expecting a window to open when I clicked on that hat/cone icon, but it doesn't even shiver. Is that okay?

Sounds like OS X to me. I think I've seen this before, though I can't remember what I did to solve it. Deleted the preferences possibly (a script to do this comes in the Disk Image (dmg) you downloaded).
