OK I know I said that this would be the last time I post here but since you brought it up, you can actually play games in VLC version 0.9.0 (sort of). There's an actual Puzzle game filter that takes apart the video and spits it into different columns and rows, kind of like those Nintendo Wii picture puzzle games.

In the latest nightly build I believe it's in the menu bar under: Tools > Extended settings > Puzzle game.

Just thought I should mention it.
