stream and play H.264 video

Postby eurfyl » 01 May 2007 14:03

I have two PC's running VLC on windows. One is streaming webcam to the other with mp4a audio and H264 video. I am streaming with RTP.
The audio is fine but I can't get the vlc to play the video. Why is this? It works if I stream in wmv format but I want to stream mpeg or h264?

Any clues?

You will need to select a format that will allow real time transcoding. This is based on the speed of your system. But is is doubtful h.264 will be real time anytime soon with any known system.
