in linux and windows when I stream from my dreambox I wait a second and click on the navigation menu and choose the sid of the channel im interested in watching, then I get video/audio.
on the mac I dont have that menu for some reason, so its a rare chance, like 1 in 100 that I get video or audio in vlc.
