Someone Pleaseee help!!

Hi ,
Its really mind blowing..I hear clean good sound while playing test sound in my box(FC 4)
Card:HDA Intel,Chip:Realtek ID 883.
But when i play songs(mp3) in any of the players(vlc,mplayer,xmms) installed in my machine...i hear noise along with music.When checked alsamixer, i couldnt see master menu..
Whats the real problem?I could nt trace it..And i had been struggling with this for a quite a lonnngg time...
SOME ONE PLZ HELP ME...

You can try to mute all settings except Master and PCM in alsamixer, but I would not expect any improvement.

It pretty much looks lik your MP3s are noisy anyway.
