@name in remote command --rc-host

Postby 2easy » 23 Apr 2007 21:32

Can anybody please provide me a sample how to use the @name in the remote command?

I cannot get the commands to work that start with @name. ( like @name marq-marquee STRING)

Note: This if for VLC 0.9.0 and newer only.

Start vlc with:

Code: Select all

vlc --sub-filter marq -I rc <input>
Then in the rc interface use:

Code: Select all

@marq marq-marquee Hello!
You can also use more than one marq:

Code: Select all

vlc --sub-filter marq:marq@somealias -I rc <input>
To change on of the second marq's option, use:

Code: Select all

@somealias marq-marquee Tadam
