blank Webcam name

Hello,

I am a user of VLC and my problem is with direct show.
When I connect my webcam ‘Microsoft® LifeCam NX-6000’ and click on 'refresh' in the direct show tab, the name of this webcam is blank. With other webcams such as Logitech QuickCam PTZ, VLC writes the right name in the combo box.



Can you help me, please?

may be ..that's a web cam with name in double byte char ..say Chinese, Japenese ..etc

To me it is very important that you can see the name of the webcam, because I have several webcams with the same problem

Some Webcams are different than a camera connected to your computer using software for the Internet, as it has an Ethernet connection and is addressed via an network address. It does not have Direct Show drivers that will show up in VLC.
