sound optical S/PDIF problam in Vista

hi

i use Vista system
DirectX 10 on vista
vlc ver 0.8.5
Sound card : Realtek on asus motherboard p5 hd deluxe
Vga card : 7600Gt
----------------------------------------------------
the picture on vlc is oK

sound problem via optical S/PDIF

i config this parameter on Sound
1. use on S/PDIF interface.
2.Settings->Preferences->Audio->Output modules Win32 WaveOut extension output

and the sound is all the time vibrator (move spasmodically) on optical S/PDIF

what i need to do ??????????????????????? to fix the problem

While the video or DVD is playing, disable the audio track and re-enable. Right-click on the player and scroll down to “Audio Track”. I’m not 100% sure it will work, but it’s worth a try.

If you search for Realtek or Realtec here, you will probably find a set of drivers that actually work.

Read the article linked below - it explains how Vistas wonderful DRM will not allow you to play potentially protected content over anything too high quality or easy to re-capture - S/PDIF issues are mentioned explicitly.

Nothing is going to help for Vista and buggy audio drivers. Or as the developers would say CHEEP sound devices.

about the Sound card is On motherboard (asus p5 HD deluxe) and
my vista run the last update Driver for all the system.

i try to play movie via mv2player and bsplayer the sound work good

pls help me ???????????/

Try shutting down DirectX for the audio in Preferences and use "Win32 waveOut extension output" instead. But the audio devices mentioned are known to have problems with VLC.

Nothing is going to help until YOU find Realtek drivers that will work with VLC. Try searching for Realtek or AC97. It is NOT the newest set of drivers that work correctly.
