volume-control: which level-setting for 1:1 playback?

volume-control: which level-setting for 1:1 playback?

yes -> i don't understand the volume-control in vlc. which is the correct setting for simple 1:1 playback? i'm now at 250.

100% should be
1: 500 in the preferences
2: right side of the windows slider
3: 50% of the volume OSD

Man it's a mess isn't it?

yes - it's really a mess. 500 is wrong!!! too loud. i'm at 242 now. who knows that exactly???

ok. seems it is 256, because it's the default-setting. is that right (0db / 100%) ???
