Hello,
I shrinked a 8 GB DVD to 4 GB via ShrinkTo5. When I drop it on VLC the player strarts it for a second and then goes back to its initial interface. WMP however plays it.
Please advise.

Nothing to advise, VLC does not support this. WMP may or may not support this depending on the Direct Show codecs you have installed. Generally it's the DVD Player software you have installed and in most cases special consideration was given for this NON-standard form of MPEG for the DVD. Interestingly enough hardware does not seem to be a sensitive to the problem.
