Overview of HTTP streaming

Hi all,

I try to understand what is happening on my network when I am using the web interface of my decoder.
It is an HTTP streaming. I learned that protocol for streaming are RTSP,RTP and RTCP.

So what is the difference when using HTTP streaming ?

It is easier to set up but what are the drawbacks of such a technology?
