OSX/CoreAudio problem

Postby Chasgag » 20 Feb 2007 22:35

Hi,

I am a new user attempting to get VLC player 0.8.6a to recognize live input from CoreAudio devices under OSX v10.3.9.

I can see "Devices" in the Audio>devices menu, I assume this is where I would access parameters for any active CoreAudio driver. However the menu is grayed out, and I can find no way to access it. I know CoreAudio is recognized in this build, since it is an output option under Preferences>Advanced>Audio>Output.

I am testing using a Mackie Onyx Firewire card, which is working fine with other apps which support CoreAudio. I also tried using an older Motu PCI-324 interface, with current driver, and no luck there either.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
Chas
