Does Pause work?

Postby isidro » 11 Jan 2007 14:26

Hi everyone,

I have tested VLM in a very standard way and I observed that pause do not work properly using activex plugin or vlc.exe.

It does pause but when you try to play again it does not work.

Have already you experienced this?

Thanks,

Isidro.

It doesn't work for me too.. I think it's a because the project is raw. Maybe this will be fixed later.

Could you give us more details about your server side VLC configuration?

Here it is:

vlm.conf file:

new channel1 vod enabled loop input C:\x\midias\sdmd\TVCultura\AANossaLingua\NOSSALINGUA-DEMENOR.mpg

vlc line command to activate vlm:

vlc.exe -vvv --color -I telnet --vlm-conf C:\cpqd\projetos\vlm\vlm.conf --rtsp-host localhost:5554 --telnet-host localhost --telnet-password XXX

For client I tried both using vlc >> file >> open network stream >> rtsp://localhost:5554/channel1 and an html page using active X plugin (the one available at videolan site).

Both clients do pause, but after that, when you click play, they play about one second and freeze. Everything else works fine.

Thanks,

Isidro.

Pause/Play doesn't work for me either.. can't ever get it to play after pausing at all. Have to shut down and reopen and then fastforward to the same spot..

Nevermind.. I still can't get the pause button to activate both pause and play (like in DVD Player) but I just figured out that you can hit "p" to resume play. duh. heheh.

Hi

I also have the same problem with pause button.

Can anyone help in this matter? I have to click at pause+play+pause+play to make the video continue playing.

Could we possible change the client player instead of using vlc player?

Please help .... videolan team!!!!
