Good point, added to our tracker.^ Any plans to port this to the Mac OS X version?
Would be great to have the option.
you already have the option in windows. preferences (with "advanced options") > video > "window decorations"Would not mind having the option in windows either..
-TM
Code: Select all
--video-deco, --no-video-deco
Window decorations (default enabled)
VLC can avoid creating window caption, frames, etc... around the
video, giving a "minimal" window. (default enabled)
I thought it is only with the Linux version. I tested it in Windows and it did not work (not that it matters because like you said, even if it did work, it would be useless, especially since the window keeps resizing when playing a list of videos of different sizes). You have a borderless mode, but you cannot move it.
Scratch that; turning the option off makes it so that every time you start a video, the window is the same small size it was last time, which causes the video to show as a postage-stamp and require manually adjusting the window. Even pressing Z to zoom doesn’t help; only manually dragging the window sizing-handles. This defeats the purpose of turning the option off to avoid having to resize.I did turn off the resize interface option though which makes it much easier to view multiple videos of different dimensions without having to resize the window after every video.
