Is there a project going on planning for developing VLC Player for Android devices.

I have seen some remote VLC Player connecting apps but not satisfied.

Is there any alpha or beta version available... Hope to see soon

I compiled and tested the latest version from git yesterday.
I noticed that the player just close from time to time when seeking.
I havent looked at the logcat yet. Same behavior on both my TF101 and Galaxy Nexus.

So sad ! I thought the decoding parts was ready, and it was just delayed due to the UI Any planned ETA ? 1 month ? 3 month ? I like the new license.

How "soon"? All web-sites keep telling that for more than (!) a year. When you release at least a public beta?
Or maybe you can make nightlies builds available? Not everyone here on Linux or have a knowledge of all its errors while comiling.

Dont be so hurry. The current build is buggy. Nightly release makes no sense for now.

Yep. The memleak issue is important.

Will it be like PC version (lots of codec, Video_TS/DVD support)?

I'm SO GLAD that VLC will soon be available for Android!
You can expect a donation as soon as I get a copy that works on my Android tablet.

I just wanted to warn you that your name "VLC Player - by the VLC Team" is being pulled through the sh#t by a malicious app on Google Play. I love VLC and so when I saw (or thought I saw) VLC was on GooglePlay I installed it. My phone has since been misbehaving. I have complained to google, but I thought I should also warn you too.
