Request a return to the original interface for MacOsX

Hello, I have recently posted in the forum under MacOS troublshooting for this as well. In your most recent version, you have added a playlist and some other features to the left of that. Aside from seeming unnecessary, and somewhat distracting, you also do not have any way to minimize or get rid of that feature as the main interface. I am merely speculating that I am not the first to point this out to you, as Mr. Kempf seemed quite aware (and upset) at me bringing this up. While I am not a coder or developer, I do send crash reports (I recently sent one in for the left hand column options crashing vlc when I try to hide them), and I also know what I like. So again, my suggestion would be to return the old interface, or at least give us the option to configure it how we want, which is ultimately the greatest thing about VLC in the first place. Thank you.

The problem is not your request, but your attitude. Until you fix it, I do not care.

Good day!

I hope that continuing this thread will not ruin my request, but I did not want to spam the forum with an unnecessary duplicate. I'd like to ask a feature request to be able to use vlc with only a simple interface, without the media library (as it was before). I see that its useful and most of the users do like it, but not everyone needs an interface for organizing media. The reason I really loved vlc was its simplicity, cleanness.

Is it possible to have a checkbox to decide whether the user wants to have the benefits of the library or not?

Thanks in advance!

ps: I'm not a native english speaker, please try to read my hardly-crafted sentences in a positive voice :)

Yes, this is the work for next version.
