VLC 2.0.0 Mac Main Window Feature Request

So, I have been playing with VLC 2.0.0 for a bit and I will have to use it for a while longer before I decide if I want to keep using it. But, I do have a request.

I generally watch videos on a second monitor. I prefer being able to have the controls on my main screen and the video on my secondary one. I have deselected the "Show video within the main window" option, but the control window is still very large. I would like there to be a way to collapse it down to a smaller size when the playlist is not needed, similar to how you could show/hide the playlist on VLC 0.x-1.x.

Thanks.

According to JB, you need to unstack the windows... now where and how do I do that?
I've gone through all the right-clicks, the menu choices, the preferences, but I still don't see that myself ;(

Please guide in the right direction.

Thank you
Hendrik

By unstack, I believe he was referring to the "Show video within the main window" option, which when deselected shows the playlist and video in separate windows. This doesn't deal with the OP's issue of collapsing the playlist to have a smaller controller when the windows are separate. That option is being discussed here: https://trac.videolan.org/vlc/ticket/6122
