3d-subtitles

watching a 3d-movie with a format that diplayes both "eye-frames" in one image, like "side by side" is no problem and does not need a extension of vlc BUT if this movie has subtitles there IS a problem.
i think it would be great and not really a big issue for the developpers to add a option to the subtitles menu for selecting the 3d-format (like "side by side") and then alter the subtitles in that way.
