Does VLC support 64-bit codec and/or bundled with the player? If you don't, can you update the VLC feature site accordingly.

Well seems more like a request than a feature.

Feature Request: Add support for 64-bit codecs.

I know this sounds a bit "stupid" but there should be like a system spec page such that it answers basic requirements..See I has to ask if VLC supported 64-bit codecs on the forum since I checked the feature and the VVC page but I could not see anything that said it was or had 64-bit support.

*Applications typically have to have a system spec page due to certain limitation or something like that( srry for the lecture)..quite a few web sties that have applications don't even say what requirements you must need in order to run a application. All they state like what you guys have is the OS only with link.

Ill just give ask questions that a spec would off the bat would tell me..Does VLC support windows 95? how much ram do I need to run the application?(How much ram for that specific OS?) Does VLC support a x64 system(64-bit)? How much video ram do I need to run a video? how much cpu do i need to run VLC and/or audio/video(s)?(Do I need a pentium 1? lol who even has that)

Does VLC support windows 95?
Not current versions.
http://www.videolan.org/vlc/download-windows.html
VLC currently supports Windows 2000 (SP4+UR1), XP, Vista and 7.
how much ram do I need to run the application?
Depends about what you do with it. QT4 interface with MP3 playback shouldn't take much memory (about 10-40 megs).
Does VLC support a x64 system(64-bit)?
All x86 Win32 programs should run on x64. We will add separate VLC x64 version once it is finished.
How much video ram do I need to run a video?
Again, this depends what you do. e.g DVD playback should work on 16 MB cards on small monitor.
how much cpu do i need to run VLC and/or audio/video(s)?
Again, this depends what you do.
Do I need a pentium 1?
IIRC VLC 1.2.0 will require SSE supported CPU, so P3 or Athlon XP.

I just came out with example questions so as to make you guys consider adding a system spec to the website
