Snapshot using video date/time

Hello,

capturing snapshots from videos brings for me the disadvantage that I have to set date/time for each snapshot manually by using "touch" in the command-line (to prevent the right sorting order if sorting by time).
It would be very helpful, if there is a check-button, where the user can choose, either to use the actual date/time or the relative date/time from the video regarding the time offset in the video to the start.

so just checking, but snapshot takes a pic from the video and does what? does it save as a jpeg? how do you do that anyway, ive tried but it didnt work properly.
