Hey there,

Do I have the possibility to read out time codes of .mxf-files in any way? I read a post about this topic from 2006 - now vlc is able to play video and audio. What about time codes?

Thanks in advance - siyman

Currently I have to shot some videofiles from a sony full hd cam. This is for TV purposes and for that reason I need the constantly running timecodes that are given directly through the mxf-files, so that I can see exactly when something happens. The sony player give away owns such a feature and shows the timecode above the control panel of the player. Is this also possible within vlc?

Thanks - siyman

Okay, after reading the wiki (http://wiki.videolan.org/Documentation:Modules/marq) I think it might be possible to see the timecode. But actually I can't find the right variable for it. I thought must be time related, but these are for time, not for timecode. Any ideas?
