I'm not going to ask for a feature to disable the font cache. That would be redundant, given that it seems to be one of the most popular feature requests.
Instead, I'm asking you to make it so that there's no reason to do it, and then remove it entirely.
No other video player randomly decides to spend minutes updating a font cache before playing. Media player, MPC, Zoomplayer, etc - they ALL do just fine without this. So why not just do whatever it is they are ALL doing that doesn't require making a font cache in the first place? So far the users can tell, there is no benefit to the font cache - just aggravation.
