Disable playlist when...

...you open a single file.
I only use the playlist with folders that contain music (play folder with VLC). Then the playlist is handy.
But when you just open an single video or music. The playlist will show up, while its almost never necessarily then.
Could there be an optional option to disable playlist when opening a single file?
