Displaying video time position and duration without offset

Hi,
Sometimes the displayed video time positions and duration is wrong. This occurs obviously if the video (header entry only?) contains time stamps which don't start at zero. In this case the indicated time position and duration contains an offset, which is rather confusing.
Such files with offset are produced for example by converting TV recordings via PVAStrumento 2.1.0.22 in mpg files: Any time the video format changes PVAStrumento generates a new file, and these files then have such an offset. By the way MPC displays the time position and duration correctly in these cases.
