We are experiencing great problem playing videos of different formats on Nokia N95. It supports very limite formats. If VLC team develops an all-rounder type video player for Nokia 95 which can play DivX, Xvid, WMV etc., video formats then it would be a great relief and great blessing for Nokia N95 users.

N95 is not powerful enough to decode videos. The built-in player uses dedicated circuitry that can only decode the format that it decodes. You need a newer more powerful smartphone, such as Nokia N900 if you want to run VLC.

I dont think so really. You have CorePlayer, and that supports lots of codecs.

I know VLC couldn't support all codecs on N95, but it can support more then realplayer, that certainly.

S60 3rd Edition is will be quite dead OS in near future, so I would guess nobody wants to do the port.

Ouch it would be totaly great VLC for N95, I think that is not dead platform and performance is sufficient.
It has GPU (OpenGLES) and dual CPU .
So please do it. I really want it ! :-D
CorePlayer is cool but too expensive, VLC would be surely better !
