A hack was recently introduced to support AirPlay from an iOS device to a Mac [1]. What would be *really* great would be for VLC on a Mac/PC to support AirPlay, so that you could stream your videos from the PC to the AppleTV. AirPlay seems to be a Bonjour service, which appears to be available on Mac, PC and Linux. Any devs interested in adding AirPlay to VLC?

someone is Reverse engineering of the AirPlay (previously called AirTunes) v2 protocol as you can see here http://blog.technologeek.org/airtunes-v2

If someone could write plugin for Totem (gnu/linux) in python without other dependencies than totem itself and avahi, why wouldn't it be possible for VLC on any platform;)
