A-B repeat should be more precise

I've been trying to use the A-B repeat function to loop a couple of bars from a musical recording and I found it unusable for this purpose as it is not precise enough. I would expect VLC to mark the beginning and the end of the repeated section exactly when you press the button, but this just doesn't hapen. I guess it only remembers the second when the button was pressed. I thought it would be great if this function was able to jump to the exact sample at which the button was pressed, or the time in milliseconds.

Thanks.

For some formats that would be quite hard to achieve.
