Hi,
I would like to justify the filter in the VLC PLayer, so that the drums (and cymbals) are louder than the rest.
Can anybody tell me how to do this?

Easy thing would be to apply some EQ assuming that drums and cymbals frequencies don't overlap other instruments or vocals in song. If the overlap, you would have to use some sort of intelligent instrument separation and then apply volume amplification for drums and cymbals (problem is that instrument separation is very difficult problem).
