VLC 1.1.0 (Released) Problems

1. One particular website (http://kqed-ice.streamguys.org:80/kqedradio-ns-e1) has a momentary "stall" that lasts about 0.1 seconds every 5-10 seconds or so. The same streams heard through other players (e.g., Flash 10) don't exhibit this problem. Other common streams I listen to do NOT appear to have this problem (e.g., http://130.86.239.231:8000/KXJZ96). There may be some difference in the encoding?
2. The --volume=150 command-line option no longer works (I changed it to =500 with no effect). There's an option to make that setting in the program (Preferences | Audio), now, but where would I read of the removal of the command-line option?
3. The command-line options for v0.9.x (http://wiki.videolan.org/VLC-0-9-x_command-line_help) doesn't appear to have been updated.
4. Sometimes, the program fails to launch (on Windows XP; once it fails, the system has to be restarted to "reset the clock" so it works again. However, close and reopen it several times, and it will fail). Even double-clicking the main program, vlc.exe, has no effect. I can't find any cause/effect relationship.
I've rolled back to the reliable ol' V1.0.5 'til there's a new release.
