Is it too hard to make a "boss key"? Seriously, such a good media player, but I use it only when I have no option, rather than having it as my favorite.
I mean, it's supposed to be scheduled since 2007:
viewtopic.php?f=2&t=35784

remember to ping me on that one. I'll do it for next version.

Then, in 2009, another request, and a promise:

I will add it for 1.1

I've downloaded the 1.1 recently, just to find out it's not there yet.

Then, a few days ago, another request:

And the requests, over and over again, don't seem to ring any bells:

I know I'm in no position to reclaim anything, as the software is free to use and the guy(s) that code it aren't looking for profit on it, but such a simple, yet interesting feature, and such bureaucracy to get it done.
I hope my (our) waiting has its days counted for good, or I'll be relying on poor-coded alternatives for ever...

I'm sorry if I sounded rude, I suck at english and rely a lot on dictionaries, so I can't really sound as I want to most of the times, it takes me loads of time to write simple sentences.
The VLC is by far the best player I've ever used, and on the top of it, it's free of costs. There's no doubt you do an awesome job, the results show all your effort.
I admit I got a little mad for the lack of this feature, as I've been installing and uninstalling the VLC for the past years, hoping it had the boss key, the statement that it would be on 1.1 got me excited.
Also, sorry if my bug report sounds rude, that was not my intention again.

EDIT: I forgot to say, the ticket is the #3838, it's called "Boss Key"

you could always use a boss key program, like the one found here http://code.google.com/p/fwh/

which is open source and free.

this would be nice
