Not sure where to start this discussion.

I am confused with the various codecs avaiable and how they compare.
for example you have Relaplayer, On2 technologies, Mpeg4, VLC
and some more I have not listed.

I am interested in On2 and how this compares with vlc or realplayer.

Some help and guidance needed.

vlc uses ffmpeg for compression. how the different codecs compare to each other are thoughrouly discussed on other forums than this, since this off course is only a interrest forum for one of them.
