'Can OUT be redirected to appear to be a Input Device

Can a -OUT module be create to act as a virtual "Input Device" for other apps?

I'd like to send video/audio over wifi from a PC running WinXP or 2000 to a main PC and have it appear as a local "Input Device" to an application that normally uses a webcam or firewire camera. I'm running 3 firewire cameras on the main machine right now.

Hi,

any comments to this request? I would also very appreciate possibility to create virtual "input device", like microphone or webcam (which can be used in another multimedia applications).

Thanks,
mike

Lack of Windows developers makes creating something like this impossible under Windows. Also it would require installation of some sort of virtual device driver which stability wise isn't very good option.

There is no free source code for webcam driver? I believe the only problem would be changing incoming stream source from device (webcam) to VLC output.. But I am not programmer, I cannot do it myself :-( Bad luck.
