Hi,
does anybody know if there are any plans for making VLC media player available on the Sony Playstation 3 platform?

You can already run VLC in PS3. (not on Slim)

Yes, I saw that, but that was only when running Yellow Dog Linus on the PS3 platform.
What about when running the XMB platform ?

Unfortunately.. to do this on XMB would require Sony's approval... which i would get on one knee to ask for.. but will not happen
