Get VLC OUT of Firefox

New in v1.0.1 (or at least very recently), VLC installs itself as the default homepage in Firefox.

What on earth is this supposed to accomplish?

When installing v1.0.1, it caused Firefox to crash. Usually when Firefox crashes and is relaunched, it recovers the windows/tabs that were open before the crash. This time, after the interference from VLC, it didn't.

I had a lot of tabs open, and hadn't bookmarked all of them, not expecting any interference from an unrelated program. And, seriously, I already have a homepage set that I want to keep - why should VLC of all things interfere with that?

No, it doesn't.
I have NO idea where you took VLC, but surely NOT from http://www.videolan.org/

You probably already know this but if not ctrl+H would give you a history of those pages you had visited as well as an opportunity to reopen them and bookmark them if you so choose. Good luck.
