would it be possible to add a repeat all button to the VLC mainwindow.
so clips would restart automatically if this button would be pressed

Not yet. Fill a bug.

Been requested already by myself and another user. It's basically cloning the "Random" button from the Playlist window onto the 'customise interface'.
