Saving thumbnails...

Hey...
I have VLC 1.0.0. and still it doesn't have a function like in Media Player Classic to save thumbnails from a movie or any video file, of any kind. Is there a possibility that VLC will feature a fuction like this in the near future? Or, if there's one already , how can I make thumbnails like in MPC?

Here's an example:

It's done using Media Player Classic. But I would love to do this using VLC.

Feature has been requested few times before for VLC.

I prefer to make thumbnails in KM Player as KM supports every video file effortlessly in doing this (even .flv files) and makes the thumbnails all by itself (whereas MPC needs Direct X). In KM Player the thumbnail creation is under "Make Storyboard" (Capture>Make StoryBoard).

Note: For using with HD files you have to enable tranform filter.

OK 32romulus and vlc_fan-01, very clever :-) But how about giving us the command-lines you used to do that in MPC or KM Player ?
