Make subtitles with video files

Postby Trond » 19 Jul 2009 19:10

I saw an option for adding text. I don't understand what it does, or at least what the point is.

It gave me the idea that one should be able to make subtitles.

There are better tools for subtitling videos.

It could easily be implemented in VLC?

Making subtitles requires few tools.

It wouldn't be very difficult. Basically just adding text editor to VLC and reloading the subtitle file after every change. But I still suggest using tools like timeadjuster, subtitle workshop or Aegisub.

Subtitle workshop rocks d4 house.  and it has a lot of advanced functions for correcting errors, re-synchonization, etc.
