Mod format support?

Postby odlskool » 19 Dec 2004 02:20

Anybody thinking of adding mod formats like s3m, it, umx playback support to vlc?
If you did, then that would make vlc pretty much the only media player i would need on my machine :D

Mod format support?

Oops. Shoulda checked one of the posts below about bassmod before posting
Is there a more complete list of formats supported out there anywhere?
I didnt find them at http://www.videolan.org/vlc/features.html

Anyway i checked it out. Other than a crash when i enabled visualisations, the playback seems ok.

Hmm... looks like .s3m .xm .it .669 .amf .ams .dbm .dmf .dsm .far .mdl .med .mtm .okt .ptm .stm .ult .umx .mt2 .psm are the formats supported by the libmod plugin.

I think both foobar2k and xmplay support more formats currently.
