display video speed in navigation bar, not in status

I hope i get the names of the items right...
I am talking about the navigation bar under a video that has position slider, play/prev/stop/next buttons, fullscreen/playlist/extended button and to the right, a volume control
The advantage of this bar is that the same bar is used in fullscreen mode, whereas the status bar is not.
So I would like to see the current video speed (1.00x, 1.50x, ...) also here, to make it more accessible in fullscreen mode
