Option for (mozilla(firefox)) plugin to respect config file

Since I moved to Fedora 10 and vlc 9.8 (9.9 in the meantime) I haven't been able to use the configuration saved in ~/.config/vlc/vlcrc while using the firefox plugin. This used to be able, but after searching the forums I found out that this is due to a change in a plugin configuration file while compiling (and subsequently this appears in the distributed packages, in my case RPM fusion).

I use the plugin very regularly for tv shows made available afterwards with embedded video; My default settings include a full-screen start on my second (much larger) screen and customized jump key settings. Since the plugin by unchangeable default does not respect those settings anymore, the videos will not start full-screen anymore, and after double-clicking the video it will appear full-screen, but on the wrong (from my point of view) screen (Moving the firefox window to the other screen and then double click does not help).

Since I am not much of a compiling-and-installing-from-scatch hero, I am unable to make use of the patch mentioned in the forums

(viewtopic.php?f=16&t=53666&p=180128&hil ... ig#p180128
or
viewtopic.php?f=14&t=54813&p=180983&hil ... ig#p180983)

and therefore I would like to request a possibility that enables the plugin to use the saved settings anyway. This was the reason I started to use vlc in the first place and only after that I found out what power vlc itself had, so I now use it for everything labeled 'Video'.

Basic graphic configuration details:
-Fedora 10,
-dual monitor,
-screen0=1440x900, screen1=1920x1200,
-Xinerama On,
-Separate X screens
(if needed more, of course I can provide them)
-in VLC, I use the alternative fullscreen method for all output modules that support that option

Cheers,
J!P

Hi, I am using VLC 1.05 plugin (on XP sp3 with IE8) and having the same issue. Since vlc setting could be complicated and plugin does not have any interface, using preference could be an easy way to setup plugin. I truly hope vlc plugin could, at least, have an option to respect the config file (vlcrc)... or already did and I just didn't aware of? Please help.

Will this feature be in vlc 1.1?
